Allow Me to Introduce myself, My name is Lo...

So, As my inaugural post, I'll give a little of my personal story- basically, the reason I'm creating this blog. As a young girl, I loved fashion. But growing up as a "Church Girl" my options were very limited. Everything was always a little to short, too tight, too low, or just "too much". Fast forward to my teens years, it became more difficult to find where I fit. I knew that I couldn't do the same things my friends were doing. As a result, I became a little annoyed with the whole social scene in general. I knew that I had a unique personality because I could get a long with anyone. When it came to hanging out, on the other hand, I didn't really want to. So most people were confused and rightfully so...I mean, think about it, as a high schooler, how weird it is to have someone you hang out with and seem to have great relationship with, always decline invitations to hang out? I'll speak for myself, I would have stopped trying.

Well, looking back a decade later, I could slap myself for being so overtaken with negative emotions because of what I thought I was missing back in those days. Sometime, in the last few years, it hit me! Its ok to be different. Its ok to be a young lady with morals, Christian values, limits, standards and  boundaries. That being said,on the flip side, it is not okay to think that because you have those you have to sit and in your room and watch reruns of "Friends" and dress like a 70 year old woman. Not only that, I spared myself a lot of the normal trouble of and unnecessary heartache of trying to take on the Big, adult world as a child. As time progressed, I began to really find myself and become comfortable in the person that I am. All of the random components of my upbringing, personality, style and faith came together and made me the woman I am today. It makes me strive to be a better version of that woman everyday! So, this blog is my way of expressing myself with the world. It is a capsule of my Fashion, Faith, fun and taking steps to reach my goals. I'll accomplish my goals one day at a time, and fashionably, of course!
