What to Wear to a Wedding

It’s that time of year! The weather is nice and everybody is getting married and having beautiful weddings. Along with weddings comes, parties, dinners, cute brunches and functions where you’ll have to dress up!
For some, this is a stressful time of trying to figure out what to wear. So here are some things to keep in mind when looking for that perfect outfit if you’re a wedding guest.
Nobody is there to see what you have on so don’t stress too much. Face it, we all go to weddings to celebrate the Bride and Groom. So keep that in mind and that will eliminate a lot of the stress.
2. Keep it sweet and classy. Leave your excessive glitter, sequin, too short, too tight, too low, too high ….leave it all at home. We don’t want it lol! In all seriousness, try to go for something moderate. Its ok to be feminine and show off what you got (Yaaaas!) but don’t show it all.
If it is any extreme. Don’t wear it. If you have to ask “Should I wear?”….”You think this is too..?”… “Can you see my {Blank} if I {Blank}?”………..DO NOT, I repeat, DO Not wear it. Just back away slowly….
Do NOT wear WHITE. That’s a no-no.
Do not wear Black. That’s also a no-no.
Do not try to match the bridesmaids. You’re not in the wedding so don’t put that pressure on yourself…
Dress appropriately for the season. If its summer, don’t wear a velvet, long sleeve dress.
The key word is appropriate. Consider the type of venue, the time of day, the requested attire and what you generally know about the couple. If they love the outdoors and are having a wedding at outside, country-chic venue, you may not want to wear a floor length ball gown.
I found a pretty simple look that I think would work for most weddings. It can be dressed up or down according to the overall theme of the wedding but this is where I’d start if I wasn’t sure.
Hopefully this helps!
